Chad's first live performance was at age 5 at the Tangier Lounge in Akron, Ohio. In the 1990's Chad played drums in the Ohio State University Jazz Lab Ensemble for 2 years. He also marched snare drum with the world champion Star of Indiana drum & bugle corps, and made a name for himself in Ohio as drummer for the indie funk-rock band Ishkabibble. Upon moving to Georgia in the early 2000's, Chad taught music, performed and recorded with several Atlanta-based indie artists, and sat in as guest drummer several times for Grammy-winner Zac Brown. In recent years, Chad has brought drumming and visual art together by producing drum videos that feature mural artwork. He has also performed with American Idol finalist Jessica Meuse, Kayley Hill (The Voice), songwriter David Robert King (former guitarist for Mary Gauthier), Kingsley O (of K London Posse) and L.A. keyboard guru Ed Roth. Now living in Nashville, Chad does freelance drum work and also drums for country-revivalist Mick Mullin, guitarist Tim Stumph (Sloppy Seconds) and the modern bluegrass trio The Hi-C's featuring Charles Butler (Banjo), and Charlie "Goodtime" Pate (Guitar).
